Natalie + Shawn
After meeting on Facebook, “We chatted for about two months before we had our first in-person date,” Natalie says. But oh, what a date it was: “Shawn took me out for pizza and go-kart riding for my birthday. From that moment on we were inseparable!” And the proposal? One for the record books: “We were traveling through France and Switzerland, making our way to Italy. We spent the most romantic night together on the train, and the next morning, while we were going through the Swiss Alps, he proposed to me during breakfast in our private train cabin. He even designed my wedding ring with two bridges from our trip—one side has the Tower Bridge from London, the other side has the Rialto Bridge from Venice.” Highlights of their wedding celebration, at lovely Eagle Dancer Ranch, included a ceremony arbor hand-painted by the bride, an artist, and taxidermies of animals harvested by the groom, an avid hunter. Our favorite personal touch: the bride’s Stella York wedding dress, which Natalie hand-beaded herself with over 10,000 beads, Swarovski crystals, and glass pearls.
