Khushbu and Kevin’s is a sweet and simple love story: Met as 6th-grade classmates got engaged at San Diego’s Mt. Wootson on New Year’s Eve, “at the tip of ‘Potato Chip Rock!’” as the bride notes. It’s when they started planning their multi-day nuptial bash—including a tea ceremony, mehndi gathering, sangeet and grand hotel reception—while both in med school, that things got a little…crazy. With both a Hindu and a Western ceremony and reception on the schedule, and 600-plus loved ones on the guest list, “planning the itinerary for the week with so many events,” was definitely the couple’s greatest challenge, Khushbu says. But with the help of an expert event crew, including the florist and design team of Flora & Eventi, and its sister company Prashe Decor, which specializes in South Asian wedding design, the couple managed to execute a spectacular multi-day celebration they now describe as, “the best week of our lives!”
