On their first date—an Astros home game—Matt graciously asked Karoline if she’d perhaps like a hot dog or some nachos to snack on. “She replied, ‘Nah, I just want to drink some beers,’” he recounts. “It was at that moment that I knew Karoline was something special.” Special, too, was Matt’s surprise proposal on a Hawaiian family vacation…though perhaps not as special as the couple’s September wedding at the Corinthian Houston. Radiant in a lace, drop-waist Lazaro gown, Karoline wed the love of her life before 325 family members and friends, then the newlyweds joined the crowd for refined Southern fare, fine wine (the bride is a serious aficionado), and some very lively dancing. “One of my friends had to go to the doctor because she had whiplash from dancing so hard,” Karoline notes. “Now that is dedication!”
