We sure do love a good proposal-by-subterfuge story, and a good post-proposal-celebration story and Douglas and Jennifer’s is a bit of both. “Douglas tricked me into thinking we were meeting a friend to have lunch and ended up proposing under the restaurant’s gazebo while our family and friends were secretly watching from a private room upstairs,” Jennifer recounts. “After the proposal, we had lunch all together!” The couple chose Ashton Gardens West for their wedding celebration, where lush florals in shades of deep green and white got a romantic touch from pretty pops of blush. “Our specialty drinks, cocktail napkins, and menu design added the perfect touch,” Jennifer says. “The stress of planning and making sure everything was right was worth it. The night was so much fun, we wish we could do it all over again!”
