Ciara + Marc
She was a graphic design intern and he worked with the club’s corporate partners when Ciara and Marc met while both working for the Houston Dynamo six years ago. Good thing they’re both great at keeping a secret: As co-workers, “We had to keep the love on the down-low,” Ciara says. “Marc’s boss didn’t even know that we were together until we got engaged!” Their wedding, at The Astorian, took advantage of Ciara’s design talents, with a custom wedding logo she created that combined their two last initials, and they also paid homage to Marc’s Mexican heritage, with custom-made papel picado, and a “Dia de Los Muertos”-theme bride and groom on a bicycle accenting the reception’s candy table. Honoring the couple’s shared love of vinyl, guests signed vintage records instead of a traditional guestbook. “We truly couldn’t have made our wedding dream a reality without Kat Creech and her team,” says Ciara of her wedding coordinator and stylist. “Her attention to detail and vision is unparalleled, and because of her, our day was completely stress-free.”
