Ali + Alex
We hear many stories from Houston wedding couples who have lots in common—alma mater, football team, favorite restaurant—but a couple who has practically the same first names? We’re pretty sure Alexander and Alexandra are a first for us! Ali and Alex, as they’re known, met through a mutual friend at a local watering hole, and got engaged five years later on New Year’s Eve, on the rooftop of a Manhattan hotel. Their wedding, at “a family ranch in a small Texas town, that was miraculously turned into our venue for the day,” Ali says, was more than a celebration—it was the beginning of a legacy. “The ‘Wedding Tree,’ as we lovingly refer to the massive oak tree we were married under, was completely covered with flowers that climbed up its large trunk,” Ali recounts. “I'll never forget that special day. Every detail was significant, including the donkeys, which made a special appearance at cocktail hour! We cannot wait to stand under the Wedding Tree with our children and grandchildren one day.”
