Winter Ashton Gardens Wedding
Long, long before their beautiful Ashton Gardens wedding, there was the first moment Sarah and Trevor met, when they were only 12 years old. “My family had moved to Houston and began attending the same church as Trevor’s family,” Sarah explains. “Trevor and I were each other’s first kiss in high school, and we deeply cared for one another from an early age.” When it came time for college, the two went their separate ways, as high-school sweethearts often do. It would be 10 years before they saw each other again, this time at a different church in Houston, where they both resided once again. Because her mother had, sadly, passed away four years prior to her wedding, Sarah’s father stepped up to take over “so many roles to help me with the wedding,” she recounts, “including sweetly buttoning me into my gown, since my mom was not there.” Not just that, the bride says, but, “He also gifted me with an oil painting of my mother, which reserved the spot in the front pew where she would have sat. I loved getting to save that space for her.” And we love getting to share Sarah and Trevor’s poignant wedding story and Houston winter wedding with y’all. Congratulations to the happy couple!
