Brenda and Rami’s love story began with a chance encounter in a Dallas restaurant. Instantly drawn to each other, they spent hours engrossed in conversation during Brenda’s weekend visit to the city. The spark between them only grew stronger as they continued to see each other, ultimately leading to a committed long-distance relationship.

An Intimate Alfresco Wedding at a Historic Sarasota Estate
Lauren and Josh met the way many modern-day couples do (and are shy to admit): Tinder. She traveled up to Tennessee to tour a college, and they matched. She was hesitant to re-enter the dating scene, but his classic pickup line, “Do you like fishing? Because you’re Lauren me in,” warmed her heart – and as they say, the rest was history.

Colorful Waterfront Wedding at Waters Edge
Aerospace engineers Jasmine and Corey first met while working at United Space Alliance, a NASA contractor. “Jasmine had joined some friends of mine on one of their infamous ‘ergonomic break’ walks and they stopped by my office cube on the way outside,” recalls Corey. “We started talking to one another and never really stopped hanging out since that moment 11 years ago.”
Following a romantic proposal in Fredricksburg, the couple tied the knot in a colorful wedding at waterfront venue Waters Edge, flawlessly planned and styled by Claudia De Velasco of A Day To Remember. Jasmine and Corey pledged their love in an “informal outdoor ceremony” beneath a chiffon draped canopy adorned with white, red and orange flowers by premier Houston florists Dream Bouquet. Afterward, the newlyweds joined 168 of their closest friends and family members for a festive ballroom reception filled with drinks, dancing, yard games, music, and a photo booth from LG Event Entertainment & Production. For the reception decor, the couple kept things “casual and colorful” featuring lush vibrant flowers and chic lounge furniture, with a vivid wedding palette of pink, orange, and red with iceberg blue accents. Favorite moments for the bride and groom included, “The ceremony, the first dance, and partying with family and friends!”
We are so thrilled to feature this lovely couple and their beautiful waterfront wedding. Congratulations, Jasmine & Corey!
Romantic Outdoor Ceremony & Indoor Reception at Waters Edge Lakefront Venue
If you’re a Houston Wedding Blog regular, y’all know how much we love it when a GROOM shares his wedding us…and Timothy is just such a groom! He tells us that he met his beloved Oralia at Tomball High School back in 2009, where, “I used to sell her candy and mix tapes in the hallway.” Awww… After attending college together, and falling head over heels in love, Timothy decided to pop the question with a down-on-one-knee December proposal in a “winter wonderland” scene he created, with accompaniment from John Legend’s “All of Me” playing in the background (if you’re not in love with this groom yet, you may want to check your romance meter to make sure it’s operating properly). For their midsummer nuptials, the pair picked Waters Edge, one of our absolute favorite waterfront venues, where they said their vows beside sparkling blue water, beneath a glittering chandelier, framed by billowing white chiffon. Post-vow festivities took the newlyweds and their nearest and dearest indoors, for a high-energy party, where live music, gourmet comfort food and a “draped” wedding cake from Susie’s Cakes & Confections ensure that a fabulous time was had by all. Thank you, Timothy, for sharing your love for Oralia with us and our readers!
