Navy & Gold Wedding at Agave Estates by Civic Photos
Finding love was simple for Rosa and Chris, who met on the field while they were playing co-ed softball. Chris tells us how it all went down: “She was standing on 2nd base and I was walking towards left center. Rosa asked what my name was, then asked me out on a date and the rest was history.” Let’s hear it for making the first move, gals!!
Rosa got the right mix of vintage and modern, with a refined palette of navy and gold, complementing the stone, wrought-iron and wood accents of Agave Estates. Ditto her personal bridal style, which combined loose, sideswept hair with a figure-contouring Enzoani gown and pretty peep-toe Loubs!
After feasting on slow-roasted pork, and dancing the night away, the couple exited the reception surrounded by love and LOTS of bubbles, making their newlywed getaway in a Rolls-Royce Phantom!

Modern-Rustic Wedding at Chateau Polonez
Brittni and Cameron’s love story is a true high-school dream. She was a cheerleader, and he was a baseball player. A mutual friend introduced them after a game, and it took only two weeks for them to go on a group movie date. Seven years later, they had gone from high-school sweethearts to lifelong soulmates.
Cameron knew that the perfect way to catch Brittni off guard was with a surprise proposal the weekend of his 23rd birthday. As the bride tells it, “I came back from College Station to attend his birthday dinner in Cypress, and was a little perturbed because he had been very evasive and hadn’t been communicating much the week before. Looking back on it, I should have known what was going to happen, after my mom and cousin took me to get my nails done and helped me pick out an outfit. My mom was so worried that my shirt was wrinkled, which is typical—but she was extra concerned that day.” In true Southern-gentleman fashion, Cameron picked her up in his F250 truck and told Brittni that he wanted to make a pit stop at his uncle’s barn before dinner. Brittni recounts: “We hopped out of his truck and began walking towards the lake, and spotted a little boy laughing while fishing. I was completely oblivious to the situation, and only noticed the roses and mason-jar candles as I ran into Cameron’s back,” she says. “I looked up and saw his face… it immediately brought me to tears. The look in his eyes was nothing I’ve seen before.” Cameron dropped down on one knee, and then came the ugly cries and happy tears.
She wore a gorgeous lace bridal gown, and the entire bridal party wore the cutest sneakers—including Brittni!
Brittni and Cameron had a vision of a modern-rustic wedding that came to life at Chateau Polonez with lush greenery, lots of candlelight and a naked cake.
“Our favorite moment was standing on stage after we said, ‘I do.’ We saw so many supportive faces and felt all of the love in that moment,” Brittni says. Congrats & best wishes to the newlyweds!

Navy, Gold & Ivory Wedding at Chateau Cocomar
A last-minute email and some amazing luck ultimately brought Gabrielle and John together forever. Gabrielle had been using Match.com for nearly two years. John had been active for only two weeks. Gabrielle was “over it,” but John was certainly not over her. After ignoring his emails, Gabrielle decided to go out on a limb and respond to John before canceling her subscription to the dating app, and she sure was glad she did! The couple was inseparable from that first date on. “He literally was my last date off Match. Little did I know it would be my last date period,” Gabrielle says.
Fast forward: Gabrielle and John celebrated their perfect wedding day at the stunning Houston wedding venue Chateau Cocomar, which perfectly captured Gabrielle’s theme of “elegance and glitz with a sprinkle of over-the-top.” But, in typical Houston fashion, the skies opened up and drenched their dream venue. For an instant the couple’s luck had seemed to fade…
But don’t worry, this story has a happy ending! The team at J’Adore Events was able to save the day and seamlessly pull off the wedding of Gabrielle and John’s dreams, with a regal navy, ivory and gold wedding color palette, a five-tier wedding cake, and treats featuring the couple’s favorite snack—popcorn from The Popcorn Bar! “I wanted a wedding that pampered my guests and had them wanting for nothing,” Gabrielle says. It’s safe to say she succeeded. Congratulations, Gabrielle & John, we wish you a lifetime of love!

Rustic-Elegant Same-Sex Wedding by Binford Creative Photography
Rob and Nathan originally met through a dating app, but their love story didn’t start until one day at the Greek festival. It was a typical rainy day in Houston, but they didn’t let the wet weather ruin their fun. “We talked for hours, nibbled on some tasty food, and the rest was history,” recounts Rob. He knew in his heart this was it. “I planned an elaborate plan to surprise Nathan with a trip to San Francisco for his 30th birthday. We spent the next few days taking wine tours and soaking in the beauty of the California coast with our closest friends, who had joined us.” On the way back to the city, the couple pulled over to take a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge. “I pulled Nathan aside to express how sorry I was that I never bought him anything for his birthday, and asked him to give me more time,” says Rob. Little did he Nathan what was coming next! Rob pulled out the ring, got down on one knee and asked Nathan to marry him. The pair celebrated their wedding with their closest family and friends at a beautiful Hill Country ranch, where rough-hewn benches and white rose petals set the tone for the outdoor wedding ceremony, and accents of succulents and fresh greenery filled the reception room, illuminated by soft candlelight. Sigh. Just take a look at the stunning photos from their intimate wedding celebration by Binford Creative Photography—you’ll be swooning just like us. Congrats to the newlyweds, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Blush, Navy & Gold Wedding at Crystal Ballroom at The Rice by MD Turner Photography
Jason met his sports-loving gal, Lauren, right out of college in 2009 when they both were working for the San Antonio Spurs. “We are both from Houston, and grew up as HUGE Rockets fans, so neither of us thought we’d ever work for the Spurs,” says Lauren. “Luckily we did and it brought us to each other,” adds Lauren. The pair hit it off immediately, and you can guess what happens next. Jason got down on one knee during their trip to Paris on the Pont des Arts bridge (aww). It wasn’t long before they started planning their romantic wedding at the Crystal Ballroom at The Rice. “We couldn’t ask for a better day,” recounts Lauren. “This is something that we say to each other often, so we thought it would be fun to include this saying in our wedding theme and details. It was used on the wedding program, napkins and koozies!” Sounds so sweet, right? Just wait ‘til you see the lovely pics from MD Turner Photography. “They were so easy to work with and really connected with Jason and I, my family and wedding party. MD Turner Photography was so much fun and made the day even more enjoyable,” adds Lauren. We couldn’t be happier for Lauren and Jason. Congrats!

Navy & Gold Wedding at Ashelynn Manor
A co-worker at a local YMCA (where Erica and Adam met for the first time—keep reading for the fairytale ending…) had said multiple times that the two were meant to be. She knew they would undoubtedly be the most beautiful couple and insisted that they had to get married…even though the two hadn’t even had their first shift together. Adam acted upon their matchmaking friend’s persistent advice and worked up the courage to talk to Erica…and the two have been inseparable ever since. Adam is a New York native and Erica always dreamed of visiting The Big Apple during a snowy winter. So they booked a trip for New Year’s, which of course made Erica suspicious that a proposal might be in the works. On their first night in the city, while posing for some photos in front of the beautifully lit Rockefeller tree, Adam popped the question! Erica remembers the moment like it was yesterday; the freezing weather, the incredible Rockefeller tree, and Adam wanting just one more photo. “So we took another and that’s when he got down on his knee.” Swoon. The Houston couple said “I do” with a romantic navy and gold wedding ceremony at the Ashelynn Manor Chapel, with a reception after at the venue’s Carriage House. The celebration was complete with friends and loved ones, and pretty, pretty floral designs provided by HEB Blooms. Erica and Adam remember their absolute favorite moment from the day, which was “when it was done and we were finally married! Now all that was left was to party!” And we totally agree. We wish this happy couple all the best and more.

Romantic Wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th
“I work very long and exhausting days as a registered nurse. I told Casey that sometimes when I have a bad day, I just want to come home from work and for him to propose to make it all better. Casey did just that. I came home from work one day to rose petals and candles scattered throughout our house. He made my favorite meal: steak, Fleming’s style mac and cheese, asparagus and salad. The ring box was sitting in a container of my favorite popcorn that Casey ordered specially for me from Chicago. It was the most perfect evening,” recounts bride Tara. And so was their wedding at the Bell Tower on 34th. Tara and Casey described their wedding to be romantic, personal and fun for everyone to enjoy. The pair danced the night away with 240 of their nearest and dearest. The grandeur evening ended with late night bites from Whataburger (mmm…) for guests and a flutter fetti exit for the couple. Sounds like quite the celebration, right? Check out the lovely photos below and see for yourself! Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds! We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
