The phrase “When you know, you know” couldn’t be more true for Julia and Bryce! Julia has always loved weddings and dreamed of her own since she was a little girl. So when she met Bryce in 2017 not only did she immediately know he would be her future husband, but she also knew exactly what type of wedding she wanted when the time came.
Following a romantic beachside proposal, the time finally came 11 months later when the couple tied the knot in a traditional Catholic church ceremony before joining 230 of their loved ones for a classic wedding reception at Northgate Country Club. “We wanted a very timeless and classic wedding,” notes the bride, describing the elegant rose gold and white color palette. “The white dance floor and white draped walls, paired with the large windows overlooking the rolling hills of Northgate Country Club, made for the most elegant reception. We had large arrangements of peonies, spray roses, and hydrangeas which matched perfectly with the blush uplighting. The glass chandeliers, rose petals, and floating candles in all of the window sills transformed the venue into the most dreamy space.” The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a delectable filet mignon with roasted potatoes and asparagus and danced the night away before ending their classic wedding celebration with a golden sparkler sendoff! Says Julia: “Our big day was nothing short of the most marvelous fairy tale.” Join us in wishing this sweet Houston couple a lifetime of love and scroll down to see their stunning highlight wedding video from Houston videographer Reverent Wedding Films. Congratulations, Julia & Bryce!
Former Texas A&M schoolmates Lauren and Rex met at a College Station bar, both there to watch Houston rapper Kirko Bangz perform. “Yes, it’s true,” the bride recounts, “nothing sets the mood more for falling in love than the sweet, romantic melodies, ‘Drank In My Cup’ and ‘Keep It Trill.'” Yet, fall in love they did, and in love they have stayed, Lauren praising Rex for “his ability to make everything in life fun,” and Rex noting “how easy everything is with her.” Rex proposed to Lauren in front of both of their families, so it’s only natural that family would play a central role in their fall 2019 blush and gold wedding at fairytale wedding setting Ashton Gardens West. From her processional down the aisle to the same music that had accompanied her mother’s own wedding processional, to the sleeve of her mother’s wedding dress that master florist Dream Bouquet used to wrap the bouquet, to the classic songs played at the reception, “The entire day was a constant reminder to us of the examples set before us by our parents, and the promises we were making to each other,” bride Lauren says. Please join us in wishing this gorgeous couple a lifetime of love! WEDDINGS IN HOUSTON Spring 2015 | Real Wedding Feature
Shannon & Tyler ~ June 21, 2014
Oh, how we love a well-planned proposal. Take, for example, Tyler’s to Shannon: After a sunny day of boating together on Austin’s Lake Travis, the groom-to-be feigned a “late” dinner reservation and led his beloved to Windy Point Park, where, after telling Shannon how much he loved her, he spun her around to face the words, “Will You Marry Me?” spelled in rose petals in the sand. He then proceeded to place a ring that he had custom designed for his one-and-only on her shaking-with-excitement hand. The couple’s Crystal Ballroom at The Rice wedding, with its sophisticated palette of blush, navy and gold, and its romantic candlelit glow, wasn’t just elegant—it was also a whole lot of fun: “Everyone enjoyed letting loose and dancing the night away,” Shannon says. “The dance floor was never empty. It was a night of a lifetime!”
Small-town boy Bryan met city-girl, Amanda in a Single Life class at Second Baptist Church. They hit it off and Bryan proposed three years later to Amanda on a beautiful bench in the prayer garden of SBC. Amanda and Bryan had a vision of their wedding to be classic, elegant, traditional and fun. Amanda wed Bryan at Second Baptist Church in a gorrrgeous blush lace Allure Bridals gown from Weddings by Debbie. Following the ceremony was an elegant affair at The Omni Houston Hotel where 175 of their nearest and dearest dined and danced the night away. Congrats Amanda and Bryan, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
