Northgate Country Club Winter Wedding

“We didn’t meet by locking eyes across a crowded bar, or bump into each other at a crowded coffee shop like you see in the movies, or even get introduced by mutual friends,” says Houston bride Katherine. “Our love story started with a simple swish of the finger… yes, we met on Tinder in Austin, Texas!”

The besotted “Tinderella” happily said, “Yes,” to her handsome prince, Isaiah, when he proposed on Memorial Day weekend last year. “I had temporarily dyed my hair rose gold the night before. I thought everyone was just visiting because it was a long weekend. My dad suggested we go to a nearby park and take pictures since my Nini (grandma) was in town and it was her first time meeting her first great-grandbaby. Isaiah was acting weird, and was super sweaty, but I attributed that to it being the middle of a Texas summer. After we took a few family photos, my dad suggested Isaiah and I take some together. Then I saw Isaiah pull out this box, and in that minute all I could think was, ‘Oh my gosh my hair is pink, oh my gosh!!’ It was the sweetest moment because all I had ever wanted was my family to be surrounding us when that moment happened, and it was absolutely perfect. We have it all on video and it makes my heart happy to watch it every time.” It makes Katherine (and us) equally happy to revisit the couple’s Northgate Country Club winter wedding, with its blue, marsala and pale pink color palette, its easygoing elegance and its embrace of family, friends and FUN. “Morgan at Northgate Country Club made this process unbelievably easy–she was the absolute best. She coordinated everything and made this process as stress-free as possible.
