Brooke and Matthew first met at church after graduating from Texas A&M. While their initial interactions were brief, Matthew was encouraged by friends to ask Brooke out. Unfortunately for him, Brooke said no, the first time. With a lot going on in her life, Brooke wasn’t ready, and Matthew chose to meet her where she was, offering friendship, encouragement, and steady support instead. As time passed, Matthew asked Brooke out again, and this time she said yes.
Throughout their relationship, the two were consistently caring, uplifting, and generous with one another, a foundation that naturally led to Matthew’s proposal.
Brooke always dreamed of a proposal that included her closest friends and family while still being a complete surprise. Matthew happily took on the challenge, planning an intimate proposal in their friends’ backyard under the guise of a simple dinner. When he led Brooke outside, she was met with a stunning setup and Matthew down on one knee, reading a heartfelt poem. “There were squeals, tears, and hugs,” the bride says. The evening continued with a celebration surrounded by loved ones, exactly as Brooke had envisioned.
On October 5, 2025, Brooke and Matthew said “I do” during an al fresco ceremony in Conroe, Texas. Their wedding day was layered with rich autumn jewel tones, from the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses to the lush florals designed by Fashionable Florist. Some of Brooke’s favorite moments included getting ready with her girls that morning, doing their own hair and makeup together, and the emotional moment when Heather, owner of Fashionable Florist, presented her bouquet, which was her “vision come to life.”
Reception tables were styled with delicate bud vase florals, paired with handwritten notes from the couple placed at each guest’s seat. Another standout moment was the couple’s first dance to “Signed Sealed Delivered,” as guests clapped and sang along, filling the space with energy and love.
“The atmosphere was celebratory, joyful, and just so sweet,” the bride says. “We had so many guests comment on how our wedding day felt and looked straight out of a fairytale.”
