“If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was meant to be,” says recent bride Kara, and she knows what she’s talking about. After attending elementary school with Kyle, and dating him throughout high school, the two graduated, and she remained in Texas while he went off to Florida. And, that, they may have figured, was that. Except it wasn’t. Eight years later the two reunited in Houston after not speaking to one another since starting college. And from there, well, let’s just say, neither was willing to set the other quite so free again. The couple chose a “Texan elegance” theme for their wedding celebration, which kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at The Houstonian Hotel’s lovely Manor House. The following day, an intimate outdoor ceremony preceded a food-focused reception where guests feasted on game specialties and fine wine, surrounded by fresh, rustic-elegant blush and sage flowers and decor from League City’s Haute Flowers & Events. We’re grateful to Kara and Kyle for sharing their lesson in love–and their wonderful Houston wedding–with us, and with y’all. Congratulations, you two, and may your lives be filled with love!
