Sarah and TJ met while working in downtown Houston. With their desks conveniently across from one another, the two would talk for hours. “We became best friends and would get lunch and coffee together every day. That grew into messaging on skype all day at work and barely getting any work done,” says Sarah. “I remember thinking there was no possible way I could ever have enough time with TJ.”
Ahem, gentlemen, take notice: “What struck me about Matt’s online dating profile were his adorable smile (and dimples!), his ambition, and the fact that he was holding a puppy.” That’s what Marjorie initially thought of the man who would eventually become her husband. “Matt had moved to Houston for his residency at Texas Children’s Hospital after completing medical school at the University of Southern California,” she notes. “He did not know a single soul upon moving here, so he immediately signed up for online dating. I moved to Houston that same summer to intern at Texas Children’s Hospital while working on my MBA through Baylor University. Some friends of mine encouraged me to give eHarmony a try.” And there you have it. After eventually jetting back to California to retrieve his great-great-grandmother’s ring, then privately asking Marjorie’s dad for her hand in marriage, Matt popped the question in front of both sets of parents. He was, we’re happy to report, blessed with a hearty, “YES!!” The couple’s California Texas wedding at The Petroleum Club Of Houston paid homage to the bride’s and groom’s backgrounds, especially with the food: fish tacos and In-N-Out burgers for his, beef tenderloin and “Texas margaritas” for hers. “I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to propose, but then realized that just being with you is perfect enough, will you marry me?” are the exact words that Julio said to sweep Houston bride Alejandra off her feet. The pair celebrated with 280 of their nearest and dearest at The Petroleum Club of Houston. The breathtaking views of the city from the 43rd floor provided the perfect backdrop to complement their sophisticated color palette of blush, ivory and gold. We fell in love with the gorrrgeous rose, hydrangea, phalo and orchid flower arrangements that filled the room with elegance. Sounds amazing, right? Just wait until you see the pics!
