We are loving Winnie Couture’s Fall 2014 collection, and we know you will too once you see these GORG gowns. Known for their impeccable fit and curve-hugging silhouettes, Winnie’s gowns are, naturally, a Houston favorite. In the new collection, look for lots of lace, tulle and delicate (but dazzling) embellishments, along with some very demure and feminine draping–a rather new look for Winnie, and one that we utterly adore. To see Winnie’s magnificent gowns in person, make your appointment today to visit the Winnie Couture Houston Flagship Salon. And don’t miss out on the Winnie Couture Black Friday Sample Sale on Friday, Nov. 29-Sunday, Dec. 1, featuring previous collection sample gowns at 40% to 80% off–AND 25% off brand-new gowns!!

Looking absolutely gorgeous in her Lazaro gown, bride Corina wed handsome groom Eric in front of 130 of the couple’s nearest and dearest. And despite the heat of the summer day, Chateau Cocomar looked fresh and cool for the occasion, filled as it was with crisp linens, gorgeous blush and ivory flowers courtesy of Arteflora, and plenty of light-catching crystals. For all its elegant formality, this Houston couple’s wedding was also FUN, featuring dancing, sparklers, teddy bears…and a performance by none other than the bride herself! Our thanks to Lulu Lopez for the great photos, and our heartfelt congratulations to the lovebirds, Corina and Eric.

“When Michael proposed, we started wondering where to find the right venue for us,” recounts Houston bride Carolyn. “Fortunately we thought about the Brookwood Community, a wonderful residential organization right outside of Katy, where adults with disabilities can thrive and learn to contribute meaningfully. My mother and I had often eaten in the café there and we loved to volunteer with the organization.” Carolyn explains that the Brookwood Community had only recently started hosting weddings—and she was thrilled to be among the first to take advantage of the community’s “beautiful worship center” and lovely, sunlight-filled café space. In her diaphanous Watters gown from Mia Bridal Couture, Carolyn made her wedding dreams come true, with a timeless summer celebration filled with personal photos, handmade signs and touches of blue, purple and green. The best part? “The profits from the wedding went to a scholarship fund to help residents live at the Brookwood Community. We were so grateful to have a wedding that benefitted a cause—and we enjoyed that we didn’t compromise on anything to host it there!” Congratulations, and happiest wishes to Carolyn and Michael. And big thanks to Lindsay Elizabeth Photography for the lovely, lovely photos!
