New to Houston while preparing for her wedding, bride Farnaz found planning her perfect day a bit of a challenge. But, with the help of close friend, she did her research—and created an event she’d never forget. The bride wed her groom, Amir, in a traditional Persian ceremony, attended by 100 of their closest friends and family, after which the newlyweds joined their guests for a Mediterranean feast, followed by dancing—lots and lots of dancing, which, the bride says, is her fondest memory of the big day. Award-winning Houston event-design firm Plants N’ Petals lent its fine floral talents to the black-tie affair, making a beautiful day even more beautiful.

A celebration space that celebrates Houston’s signature cowboy-meets-cosmopolitan style of Lone Star chic? Sounds like a perfect wedding setting to us. We can’t wait to feast our eyes on the St. Regis Houston’s gorgeously renovated Astor Ballroom AND indulge the rest of our senses with fabulous food, drink and wedding-design inspiration, when the St. Regis hosts “A Bespoke Wedding Affair” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 19.

For this special summer bridal showcase, the St. Regis will welcome a very exclusive handful of top Houston wedding vendors, and invite brides to chat, sip, nibble and enjoy live entertainment.
