Here at Weddings in Houston, we take pride in the quality work that our vendors produce on a regular basis—not only for brides and grooms, but for the community of Houston as a whole. We have seen firsthand the hard work and dedication it takes to grow a successful business, and it is the highlight of our week when one of our clients is recognized for their time, talent and effort. Which is why we couldn’t WAIT to announce the newest accomplishment of the international award-winning cinematography studio Sculpting With Time Productions. The talented husband-and-wife duo took home THREE Lone Star EMMYs for their outstanding achievement in directing, editing and filming a remarkable 7-minute piece on the unique experience of the University of Houston football team. We are beyond impressed, but not at ALL surprised! Congratulations, Alex and Whitney! You earned it!

Weddings, sports, historical documentaries—Sculpting With Time excels at it all. Navy, Ivory, Gold & Coral Wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston by Steve Lee Photography

Casey and Bill’s love story started while they were both in high school living as expats in Trinidad. They decided to part ways after being accepted to different colleges but later re-kindled their relationship during their last semester of college. A few years later, back in the U.S., Bill planned a sweet trip to Galveston with Casey for her birthday. “Bill planned to propose in Galveston, but after holding on to the ring for a two hours waiting for me to arrive at his house, he decided he couldn’t wait much longer,” Casey recounts. “We were sitting at his kitchen table where I was finishing up a work call. As soon as I hung up I jumped up and apologized for our delay and told him I was ready to go. He stood up to deliver the proposal speech he had prepared, but couldn’t get a word out. He dropped down on one knee and went straight to the question. I have never been more surprised in my life!” Casey says. The lovebirds planned their picture-perfect summer wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston where Casey wed Bill in a gorgeous Anne Barge gown from Ivory Bridal Atelier. The couple’s favorite moment? “We danced to Soca music with several guests who were expats in Trinidad with us. We got to relive the culture we grew up in and show our American friends and family,” says Casey. We’ll let the beautiful photos by Steve Lee do the rest of the talking for us. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!

WEDDINGS IN HOUSTON FALL 2014 | REAL WEDDING FEATURE

Cameron & Bryar ~ October 5, 2013

There’s something to be said for spontaneity, notes bride Cameron, whose then-boyfriend Bryar “proposed completely out of the blue at my apartment on a lazy Sunday afternoon.”  While the proposal may have been less than formal, the couple’s Galveston wedding was a grand celebration at the historic Tremont House hotel, where 300 guests enjoyed gourmet Texas specialties—seafood gumbo, shrimp and grits, beef brisket—along with DIY Champagne cocktails, glamorous boas, and dancing on a magnificent monogrammed white dance floor. The bride’s favorite memory? “Dancing a father-daughter dance to ‘My Girl.’”
