Boho Chic Wedding From Plants N’ Petals
Vewiser, who met Tiesha while the two were attending Lamar University, used a trip to Disney World to set the backdrop for his creative proposal. On New Year’s Day, after a visit to the Florida theme park, Vewiser presented his beloved with a photo album filled with pics from their trip…with one very special addition on the last page: a photo of an engagement ring. “He immediately got down on one knee and expressed his love for me, and how our love has grown over the years,” notes the bride. The pair sealed the deal in front of 240 friends and family, Tiesha in a beautiful lace mermaid gown from Parvani Vida, with a gorgeous boho chic wedding designed and decorated by Plants N’ Petals. The Houston floral firm brought Tiesha’s vision of vivid hues and flower crowns to life. “I wanted to use bright colors for the flower arrangements and not the typical ‘wedding colors,'” the bride says. “We both agreed bright colors matched our relationship and vivid personalities so we wanted to incorporate that in our wedding.” In addition to the fabulous decor, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed delicious offerings from Houston’s Café Natalie Catering which included chicken parmesan, salmon, roasted vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. After a night of dancing and fun, the festivities ended off with an incredible fireworks display. “Our wedding was everything we wanted and more, truly a blessing from God and a dream come true!”

Fatima and Matthew really are the ultimate sweethearts. Their journey began in elementary school—fourth grade to be exact. Although their paths separated for a short time while they attended different high schools, they reconnected during junior year and that’s where it all finally began! Fatima recalls “what began as ‘young high-school love’ developed into a relationship filled with deep affection, trials and tribulations that we were able to surpass, trust, and the development of something deeper that is unexplainable with simple words.” *sniff sniff* Aargh, we told ourselves we weren’t gonna cry…but just wait for it, this proposal will definitely seal the deal on those tears. Matthew chose a day where Fatima was off work and he knew she would be home. Around 10:30 a.m., Fatima received a package with “Get Ready My Love” written on the outside in script…and inside was a perfect outfit and a note instructing her to be ready by noon. Matthew’s parents picked up Fatima and brought her to Mary Jo Peckam Park, which is a very special place to the couple. It was where Matthew gave Fatima a promise ring on their first anniversary. Sniff sniff again. Ahead of her was an anxiously-waiting boy holding flowers, and a trail of photos and ornaments hanging from the trees. As they stood under photos of memories from the many years they had spent together, Matthew got down on one knee and finally asked Fatima to marry him! Yep, here come the tears. After a day together, the two enjoyed a dinner with both of their families. Fatima and Matthew’s wedding was truly picturesque, complete with a light and fresh color palette of blush, ivory, and gold hues. They vowed their love for one another in a formal Catholic ceremony, and celebrated afterwards with a dreamy reception at Chateau Polonez. Fatima and Matthew said, “Our main focus was not only to celebrate our love, but to enjoy this celebration with our family and friends.” Fatima was a stunning bride in a lace trumpet-style gown designed by Allure Bridals from Parvani Vida Bridal and Formal—where she also found her accessories, bridal party dresses and gown preservation! Now, that’s just a one-stop-shop of perfection. The entire event was documented by Ama Photography & Cinema—and let’s be honest, these photos are just gorgeous. Many congrats to the beautiful couple!

Outdoor Spring Wedding by Civic Photos
It’s true, everything is bigger in Texas- especially weddings. Just ask Houston bride Bella and her hubby about their 1,400-guest reception. The couple had a true Texas spring wedding with blooming orchids, an outdoor reception, and a 16-layer cake! Guests enjoyed the perfect weather and some good ‘ol Southern food: roasted beef, pico, beans and freshly squeezed Lemonade (mmm). Oh and did we mention how stunning Bella looked in her full-sleeve, chic lace bridal gown from Parvani Vida? Thanks Civic Photos for capturing all of the sweet deets from Bella and Irvin’s wedding, we’re in love! Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!

“Ahren and I met freshman year at University of Houston through mutual friends. We lost touch after I moved to Chicago and he started Optometry school. We reconnected in 2010 and I asked him out on a date and the rest was history!” Ada says. “We decided to have a traditional Catholic ceremony for Ahren’s side followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony for my family,” adds Ada. After both ceremonies, it was time to party! The reception started with the bridal party entering to the Houston Rockets introduction song while the guests were given surprise goodie bags with sparklers and glow sticks. After a lovely dinner, Ada and Ahren danced the night away with their nearest and dearest. “It was definitely a dream wedding!” says Ada. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Blush, Ivory & Silver Wedding at Omni Houston Hotel
“It was Christmas Eve 2013. Tristan said he had a gift ornament for me hanging on the tree. On the front it read, “Our first Christmas together,” and on the back was a bride and groom. I turned around and he was on one knee asking to spend the rest of our Christmases together,” says Autumn. So sweet, right? A year later, Autumn wed Tristan in a lace Pronovias gown from Parvani Vida Bridal & Formal and celebrated with 165 of their nearest and dearest at the Omni Houston Hotel. Favorite moment? “Dancing with all of our family and friends,” Autumn says. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!
