Karolina Embellished Evening Shoe: Badgley Mischka

Soaring at 4-3/4 inches high, Badgley-Mischka’s Karolina is our hands-down favorite platform peep-toe right now. Why? Because it looks as good approaching as it does sashaying away (thanks to that gorgeous jeweled heel detail!), and because the sturdy covered platform lends support where we need it most. Happy shoe shopping, loves!

Selina-Sophia Webster1 Selina: Sophia Webster

Yes this knockout ivory sandal from Sophia Webster features a stunning embroidered swirl detail. And yes, it also boasts beaded embellishment and a stacked-bead heel we love. But our favorite thing about the whimsical Selina? Oh…that’d be the  and “Wifey for Lifey” message embedded on the soles of each perfect pair. Now that, love, is a bridal shoe!

Vintage Outdoor Texas Wedding

Paul caught Gillian’s eye from across the table during a mutual friend’s bon voyage party back in 2010. Unfortunately the pair didn’t exchange numbers that night, and Gillian went back to San Francisco for school. A few months later while she was home for Christmas break and hoping to find a date for New Year’s Eve. “During happy hour I mentioned my to my friend that she should have Paul get in touch with me. Three minutes later my phone rang, and it was Paul,” recounts Gillian. They immediately hit it off, and tied the knot six years later. Gillian walked down the aisle in style wearing a tea-length eyelet Oscar de la Renta dress from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon, and paired it with pink Manolo Blahnik pumps (major Carrie Bradshaw moment). “It was a playful dress that fit like a dream. When I saw it on the runway, I knew this was it,” adds Gillian. Paul and Gillian danced the night away with their family and friends, and made a true Texan move by stopping at Whataburger before attending the after party. Sounds like one fun night, right? Check out the sweet pics below. Congrats to the lovely couple!

Peach, Pink and Gold Wedding at The Houstonian by J. Cogliandro Photography

Ashley had been bugging Rick to plan the perfect date night, and that he did. Rick made dinner reservations at one of their favorite restaurants. Even when were then seated at a table with a dozen roses and a bottle of wine, Ashley still didn’t suspect anything. After all, they were low-key, private people–it never occurred to her that Rick would propose in public. But as soon as they were done with their meal, the restaurant’s manager personally presented the couple with dessert under a cloche cover. When Ashley removed the cloche, she discovered a ring box, and, well, let’s just say it turned out to be a date night she’d never forget. Ashley and Rick’s opulent wedding at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa was a dream come true. “We ended up creating exactly what we wanted, a very festive and romantic atmosphere with a classic feel that recognized the importance of the moment”,” the bride says. Tall pink and peach candelabras, and hanging candles above the dance floor, added the perfect touch of romance and elegance to the evening. Thanks J. Cogliandro for the beautiful photos, and congrats to the newlyweds!
