Very few people can run 14 miles on the first date, and that’s how you know Elizabeth and Jeremiah were meant to be from the start. So, when Jeremiah decided to pop the question with a dazzling engagement ring from I W Marks Jewelers, it was only natural that it was after a 10-mile run. “When I turned to look at him, he was down on one knee! It was such a blur! I remember taking the ring from him and putting it on my finger,” Elizabeth says.
For Kristi and Will, it was love at first swipe. After matching on Hinge, the couple met for their first date on October 1, 2015 at West Alabama Ice House. As Kristi and Will started dating, she fell in love with his kindness and he adored her sense of humor. Then, four years after they met—and in the exact spot in the parking lot where they first saw each other—Will asked Kristi to marry him. Just over a year later, the couple tied the knot during this charming lilac and ivory wedding.

Before the couple’s 50 closest family and friends joined them on beautiful Lake Travis in Austin, Texas for the waterfront nuptials, Will fell head over heels for his soon-to-be bride all over again during the first look. Kristi’s bridal style was so elegant with a half updo full of curls, her gorgeous lace wedding dress, and her lush, full bouquet by Malleret Designs! The bridal bouquet was stunning, featuring ivory and mauve roses with vibrant pops of lilac amid trendy eucalyptus sprigs.

If you’re a Houston Wedding Blog regular, y’all know how much we love it when a GROOM shares his wedding us…and Timothy is just such a groom! He tells us that he met his beloved Oralia at Tomball High School back in 2009, where, “I used to sell her candy and mix tapes in the hallway.” Awww… After attending college together, and falling head over heels in love, Timothy decided to pop the question with a down-on-one-knee December proposal in a “winter wonderland” scene he created, with accompaniment from John Legend’s “All of Me” playing in the background (if you’re not in love with this groom yet, you may want to check your romance meter to make sure it’s operating properly). For their midsummer nuptials, the pair picked Waters Edge, one of our absolute favorite waterfront venues, where they said their vows beside sparkling blue water, beneath a glittering chandelier, framed by billowing white chiffon. Post-vow festivities took the newlyweds and their nearest and dearest indoors, for a high-energy party, where live music, gourmet comfort food and a “draped” wedding cake from Susie’s Cakes & Confections ensure that a fabulous time was had by all. Newly graduated from college and just starting their careers, Kellie says figuring out how to budget and plan her dream wedding to Jacob was no small challenge, but one she embraced fully. The couple’s church ceremony and fresh, fun, family-focused celebration at picturesque Waterpoint on Lake Conroe reflected their backgrounds, with table numbers corresponding to ages of their childhoods (table 5, for instance, displayed photos of Kellie and Jacob at age 5). The bride’s accessories included a bracelet made by Jacob’s grandmother and a pair of white flats decorated by her aunt with bits of lace from her Oleg Cassini bridal gown. The venue’s lovely lakefront vista made decor needs minimal (HEB Blooms supplied softly tousled flowers in shades of pink, blush and cream), and a candy buffet made the festivities just that much sweeter.
