Classic Black, White and Blush Wedding at Hotel ZaZa

When Allison entered their room at Hotel Granduca on the eve of Cinco de Mayo and found hundreds of rose petals and candles everywhere, she actually wondered if she was in the wrong room. But when Ty took her by the hand and got down on one knee, she knew she was in exactly the right place. One year later, the pair celebrated their nuptials with a timeless reception at Hotel ZaZa, done up in classic shades of black, white and soft blush pink by Events in Bloom. Lovely in her Vera Wang gown, with hair and makeup by The Perfect Face, Allison danced the night away with her handsome groom—and 250 of their nearest and dearest—in a one-for-the-ages Houston wedding that has captured our hearts. Anyone who’s experienced the I Do! Bridal Soiree at The Corinthian knows how much our amazing Houston wedding florists and decorators love to fill that neoclassical column-lined space up with lots of white, cream and ivory wedding finery. So we’re THRILLED to share with you Mary and Adrian’s Houston wedding, which transforms The Corinthian with an explosion of color. Inspired by the 1920s, the pair’s wedding included Art Deco touches throughout, plus lavish jewel-tone flowers by Events in Bloom, and a magnificent menu from Jackson and Company. “Emily, our wedding planner, also put a Champagne bar in the women’s bathroom,” notes the bride. “Needless to say, that was a favorite among the guests.” Feast your eyes on J. Coral and Ivory Houston Country Club Wedding by Chris Bailey Photography

“Elegant, romantic, classic and beautiful.” These are the words Diana uses to describe her wedding to Elliott, which began with a church ceremony and kicked into high gear with a Houston Country Club reception for 450 of the couple’s nearest and dearest. To bring her wedding vision to life in floral splendor, Diana turned to Events in Bloom, which filled the room with coral and ivory peonies, roses and hydrangea, complemented by gold chiavari chairs and elegant lounge furniture. “Most importantly we wanted our guests to have FUN!” says the bride, explaining that after cutting the cake and mingling with guests for a bit, she and Elliott—along with plenty of friends and family—were on the dance floor by 9:30, light-up glow sticks in hand, “and never left until our exit.” To nourish revelers—and fuel them for a post-wedding after-party at the Omni Houston Hotel’s Black Swan—Diana and Elliott served breakfast tacos and beignet-and-bacon bites. Outdoors-In Houstonian Hotel Wedding by Adam Nyholt

Let’s face it: Houston’s not always the most hospitable city for an al fresco wedding celebration. Which is why we love when a couple brings the best of the outdoors in. Morgan and Carson, who we first featured back in June, when they shared their lovely engagement session with us—also shot by the exceptional Adam Nyholt—transformed The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa ballroom into a lush garden, with the masterful floral work of Events in Bloom. We adore the palette of white, cream and green, the beautiful roses and voluptuous hydrangeas, the wrought iron accents and flickering candles. And that ceiling treatment? Incredible. In her Monique Lhuillier gown from Joan Pillow, Morgan looks like a magnificent flower herself. We’re so happy to feature this stunning wedding. And so happy for Morgan and Carson!
