Regan and Colin’s “Bohemian luxe” destination wedding at a ranch set on 300 acres of Texas countryside caught our eye immediately, with its white-on-white color palette, warmed by earth-tone accents, and its sense of fun and festivity. To that end, says Regan, “Our welcome bags were my big project! I didn’t want to skimp on the bags, after having been saved, myself, at many a wedding, by the late-night (or early-morning) snack bag. I also wanted to reinforce the idea of a weekend festival or camp, and give our guests something to carry their swimsuits or boots in during activities. We used our monogram on a simple canvas bag, inside which we tucked in our favorite local beer (Saint Arnold’s Lawnmower), a silver-antler bottle opener, and koozies. For the morning after we included bottled water with custom labels and packs of Advil and Emergen-C. We also threw in some snacks: a monogrammed bag of Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets (a Texas road-trip favorite of ours), a big bag of tortilla chips, and a little box of gourmet marshmallows. Last but not least, we had these amazing hand-painted cookies of dreamcatchers and flower-wearing longhorns. Each item was carefully chosen by us over the course of the planning process, and we spent the week of the wedding stuffing, sealing and packing the bags together.” Now THAT’S caring for your beloved guests. Good work, Regan and Colin…and good thoughts, from us, on your blessed union!
