Cream, Blush & Fuchsia Wedding by Steve Lee Photography at Brennan’s Houston

Rochelle caught Danny’s eye while he was walking to the food court in the Galleria. “After walking past Rochelle, the first thing I noticed were her eyes and how stunning she is,” says Danny. “After speaking to her I realized that she is beautiful not only on the outside, but inside as well. I knew one day, no matter what, she was going to be my wife.” It wasn’t long before the pair started planning their Houston wedding—with a New Orleans touch, to pay homage to their Louisiana roots. They had the best of both worlds, thanks to Brennan’s Houston. The guests enjoyed a four-course menu, including traditional gumbo and Creole potatoes (mmm…), followed by praline favors at the end of the night. Danny’s favorite moment? “Watching my wife walk down the aisle,” he says. We couldn’t be happier for these two. Check out their lovely photos from Steve Lee Photography below. “Estevan and I met in February of 2013 at our mutual friends’ game night where we were the only two single people,” recounts bride Rachel. “They swear it was a coincidence.” Were pretty sure it wasn’t. For their spring wedding, the couple selected a fresh, seasonal palette of in and soft pinks,k and filled their rustic-elegant venue with touches of burlap, mercury glass and vintage furniture including rough-hewn farm tables, refurbished doors and wine barrels. Describing her favorite wedding moments, Rachel recounts sipping margaritas made with her father-in-law’s secret recipe and partying to a lively mix of country, pop and Tejano music. But most of all, she cherishes the memory of her father-daughter dance to The Temptations’ “My Girl.” “My dad sang this song to me while he taught me to swim in our backyard. It is my first memory, and a precious reminder of our relationship.”

The tailgate scene at the Sept. 8, 2012, Texas A&M vs. Florida game was pretty much the perfect spot for Chisholm’s marriage proposal to Samantha—after all, the A&M alums are both huge football fans. The pair’s Chateau Cocomar wedding, with its elegant palette of black, white and silver, was the very picture of elegance, but with plenty of laid-back, high-spirited fun. Sanctuary at Water Oak Wedding with Crystals, Cigars, Whiskey and Canine Friends

It wasn’t until her dad encouraged her to speak to cute ranch-hand Nathan (“my dad, who NEVER encouraged his daughters to date,” she laughs), that Louisiana-born Abbie took a second look at the shy guy who worked on her family’s hunting lease. And she liked what she saw. So much so, that when Nathan dropped on one knee and presented her with that unmistakable Tiffany box in November of last year, “I just threw my arms around him and of course I said, ‘Yes!!’” The couple’s summer wedding, coordinated by Gray & Associates Events at Lake Conroe’s picturesque Sanctuary at Water Oak served up Southern favorites including seafood bisque and blackened catfish, along with hand-rolled cigars, a swank whiskey bar, and lots of lively dancing. The pair’s pups Ellie and Boozer were on hand to watch the couple say their vows, and if there ever were two sweeter flower girls than the tulle-frocked cuties at Abbie’s side, we don’t know how or where.
