Former Houston Dynamo dancer Wendy met her future husband during a friend’s downtown Houston birthday celebration. “He asked me to dance, and our love story started,” she says. John’s flash-mob proposal, joined in by family and friends bearing koozies and gifts for the couple, became a viral YouTube video, with more than 1.2 million views, and was featured on Houston news channels, along with CNN and ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Their lakefront wedding at Waters Edge Venue, had its share of dancing as well, with Wendy’s friends, all former professional cheerleaders and dancers themselves, besting the guys in a dance competition. But her absolute favorite moment, Wendy says, was “walking down the aisle next to my dad, listening to my favorite song, ‘Great Thou Art,’ by Carrie Underwood, and seeing my husband's face. He was smiling from ear to ear.”
