Kendall + Hunter
High school sweethearts Kendall and Hunter were simply meant to be. On their anniversary, Hunter originally planned to pop the question to Kendall at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. But when they arrived after a romantic lunch, the museum was closed! Undaunted, he proposed instead in the tranquil Sculpture Garden. The couple exchanged vows at a church ceremony followed by a reception at picturesque wedding venue 15 Acres. Kendall says the most stressful part of wedding planning was trying to plan with so many major life events happening at once: "I had just started a new job, we were in the process of buying our first home, and then trying to plan a wedding on top of it all got stressful at times." Nevertheless, their wedding was clean and bright, with personalized touches in every area. "Our wedding design was very neutral and natural," says the bride. "We used a lot of white and neutral tones with gold accents and greenery." In keeping with the decor, baker Wedding Cakes by Tammy Allen created a classic white five-tier buttercream cake, decorated with modern texture and a touch of greenery. Special memorable moments for the couple included "the father-of-the-bride speech and our first dance." To end the evening, the newlyweds shared an intimate last dance after the reception, then exited under an arc of gold sparklers.
