Claudia + Troy
Though they met through a mutual friend at a concert ages ago, it wasn’t until four years ago that Claudia and Troy reconnected, and became good friends. From there, love blossomed for the pair, and one fine day, Troy proposed at Houston’s famed water wall. “We both were so nervous and crying with happiness,” Claudia recalls. “I didn’t even put the ring on, I just said, ‘Yes!’ and jumped into his arms.” The bride says she loved planning her wedding, especially during the last two months leading up to the big day, when she began to focus on the music selections, seating chart, and catering and drinks. That, and the series of professional dance lessons the pair took together, which offered, she says, “the perfect excuse to go on dates with my [now] husband.” For their outdoor wedding, Claudia worked with wedding planning and design firm Events De Luxe to create a “less is more” atmosphere in a color palette of white, ivory and gold. She notes the “French-village charm” and “beautiful natural waterfront” of her Houston wedding site, adding, “From the beginning, we were so excited to say, ‘I do,’ in this romantic venue.”
