Some want crystals and chandeliers. And some, like Suzanne, want to keep things casual yet chic. \u201cWe wanted our wedding to be modern and simple,\u201d she explains. For her Houston wedding to Jason at the historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingsinhouston.com\/Professionals\/Reception_Venues\/veranda_by_17_at_the_sam_houston_hotel.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Houston Hotel\u2019s<\/a> cool, contemporary Veranda by *17 terrace space, interior designer Suzanne stuck to minimal yellow and gray decor, along with passed heavy hors d\u2019oeuvre and no assigned seats. \u201cWe wanted it to be a party!
