Confessions of a Bride-to-Be by Erin Neskora<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wedding day has come and gone, and somehow it\u2019s already been a month since I married my best friend. On November 15th, Pierce and I wed at The Tremont House<\/a> in an elegant celebration accented with white, black, and the softest shades of light blue. Looking back now, everything unfolded as perfectly as it possibly could have. And as clich\u00e9 as it may sound, it\u2019s true what everyone says: your wedding day moves fast<\/em>. Try to slow down, breathe, and take in every second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We began the weekend with an intimate rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks in the Historic Galveston Strand<\/a>. Surrounded by our closest friends and family, we toasted to the weekend ahead while Rendered Moments<\/a> created watercolor portraits for guests during dinner, one of my favorite personal touches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning of our wedding, the girls kicked off the festivities with mimosas and a full-glam getting-ready session. Meanwhile, the boys spent their morning in a separate room at the hotel, enjoying football and easing into the big day in their own way. After my mom helped me into my gown, I shared a private first look with my father and bridesmaids. At that moment, seeing their reactions, I felt incredibly special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always knew I wanted to stay traditional and have Pierce see me for the first time as I walked down the aisle. But before the ceremony, we shared a private first touch, standing back-to-back as we exchanged our heartfelt written vows. There wasn\u2019t a dry eye between the two of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I waited for the ceremony to begin, nerves and excitement started to take over. But the moment I stepped into the aisle, holding my dad\u2019s arm, everything softened. My eyes found Pierce\u2019s, and I didn\u2019t look away once. White and blue florals framed our vows, and my stepdad officiated, something that meant the world to me and made our ceremony feel even more personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, guests headed to cocktail hour in The Annex at The Tremont House, enjoying passed hors d\u2019oeuvres and a Champagne wall from Space City Toasts<\/a>. During that time, Pierce, our wedding party, and I slipped away for golden-hour photos. Before joining the reception, Pierce and I took a private moment, just the two of us, to pause and take in the enormity of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our reception featured elegant bud-vase florals illuminated by light-blue tapered candles and soft tea lamps. The night was filled with celebration, dancing, and the kind of joy you can feel buzzing in the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To end the evening, Pierce and I shared a private last dance before joining our guests for a lively second-line exit. We paraded down the street with a brass band under the iconic Mardi Gras arch. The perfect finale to the best day of our lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
