Kurt and Lillian’s serendipitous love story began during their radiology residency program. On Lillian’s final day of her first rotation, she decided to grab breakfast across from the hospital. As fate would have it, Kurt, an upper-level resident, walked into the same restaurant while she was waiting for her order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The chemistry was electric!” Lillian says. “That encounter led us to return to that taco spot every week for the next three months, sharing conversations, laughs, and delicious breakfast tacos!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a year and a half of dating, Kurt planned a weekend getaway in Austin to celebrate Lillian’s final year of residency. Despite the rain and fog covering the serene lake and vibrant fall foliage, Kurt suggested a walk before dinner. He led her down a dock draped with glowing bistro lights. At the end of the dock, he knelt down and asked, “Will you marry me, rain or shine?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 23, 2024, the couple made it official with a church ceremony and a lavish ballroom reception at The Houstonian Hotel, Club, and Spa<\/a>. Having started their relationship around Nowruz, the Persian New Year, they chose this special time to marry with a Persian wedding in Houston, symbolizing life, love, and new beginnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reception was a vision of elegance, with fragrant white orchids and blush, pink, and purple florals, all artfully arranged by Plants N’ Petals<\/a>, while romantic candlelight enhanced the warm, intimate atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My favorite part was marrying the love of my life in front of our family and friends,” the bride shared. Another highlight was the lively Persian knife dance before the couple cut their stunning four-tier white wedding cake crafted by Susie’s Cakes<\/a> and adorned with delicate white florals. The newlyweds concluded their magical night with a rose petal toss send-off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
