While embracing your future spouse\u2019s faith is a deeply personal decision, for groom Garrett Hartman, it was an easy one. \u201cGarrett has recently been converted to my Longhorn religion!\u201d effuses bride Leslie Ng. \u201cHe is great about going with me to games \u2026 and ever so willing to go get snacks and drinks so I don\u2019t ever have to miss a single play. It\u2019s a match made in Heaven!\u201d In Heaven, maybe, but with a little help from Garrett\u2019s aunt, who sat her single nephew next to Leslie at an event, starting the Houston couple on the path to \u201cI do!\u201d In addition to Leslie\u2019s Longhorn devotion, the couple\u2019s cultural and spiritual backgrounds\u2014he\u2019s Jewish, she\u2019s Chinese\u2014infused their joyful Briscoe Manor<\/a> wedding throughout, from the groom\u2019s traditional glass-stomping (\u201cThat poor light bulb didn\u2019t stand a chance,\u201d Leslie laughs), to the bride\u2019s chair-ride during the hora dance (\u201cscary, but fun,\u201d she recounts) to the amuse bouche of potato latke with Peking duck slices topped with hoisin, cr\u00e8me fraiche and apple chutney (\u201ca little Chinese and a little Jewish\u2014we called it \u2018Chewish\u2019\u201d). Leslie\u2019s favorite wedding moment? \u201cDuring our first dance, Garrett (a horrible singer) sang to me in my ear and went over highlights of our ceremony, telling me how he loved my dress, how lucky and blessed he felt at that moment,\u201d she recounts. \u201cIt made me cry\u2014it was the best three and a half minutes of my life.\u201d Big thanks to Stacy Cross Photography<\/a> for images of this uniquely personal and super stylish wedding.
