“We met in the only way modern-day romances start these days…Hinge,” the bride says. She and Michael instantly clicked over video chat at the start of quarantine in March, 2020. “We spent the next year truly getting to spend time getting to know each other without any distractions of the outside world,” the bride says.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For their anniversary, Michael surprised Lauren by proposing at a bar with their song playing. The bride says, “Little did I know, Michael had been planning our engagement for over five months and had planned a surprise engagement party with 100 of our closest friends and family members.”<\/span><\/p>\n

On July 1, 2023, the couple wed at St. George\u2019s Orthodox Church, with a reception at C. Baldwin, Curio Collection by Hilton<\/a>, in a glam white and champagne ballroom. On their wedding day, Michael surprised Lauren with an adorable gift: a mini golden doodle puppy named Gelato! For the ceremony, Lauren dazzled in a tulle wedding gown and sparkling diamonds. In a touching tribute, Michael wore his late grandfather’s wedding band, restored and engraved by Zadok Jewelers<\/a>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band<\/a> had the crowd on the dance floor at the lively reception. A decadent six-tier cake by Susie’s Cakes<\/a> wowed guests as they danced the night away.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day, the group enjoyed a farewell Fiesta brunch before jetting off to a “buddy moon” in Mexico with friends.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
