Vanderbilt alums Megan and David’s college friendship blossomed into romance when they reconnected while working in Ohio. As Megan pursued her MBA in Austin, David soon joined her in the Lone Star State and began their life together.
\n<\/p>\n

When Megan returned from a walk on a December morning, she was shocked to find their pup Leo greet her while sporting a ring box. David then emerged and proposed, completely surprising Megan. An epic celebration followed with loved ones, even out-of-towners, gathering for blue margaritas and Mexican food.<\/p>\n

On June 24th, 2023, the couple wed in the same synagogue in which her parents married 30 years ago. The couple included nostalgic touches from her parents’ ceremony, like verdant greenery archways, and “A Whole New World” from Aladdin playing as Megan walked down the aisle.<\/p>\n

The reception space was a colorful floral fantasy brought together by Bright Star Productions<\/a>. Floral fabric adorned the space, creating a garden vibe indoors. Food stations like a tater tot cone wall, a queso fountain and a bourbon bar, a nod to David’s Kentucky roots, brought fun elements to the elegant celebration. The tributes to Megan’s parents’ wedding continued through the reception. Megan donned her mother’s wedding gown for her reception dress, and Susie’s Cakes<\/a> designed a replica of her parents’ wedding cake.<\/p>\n

After the reception, the couple and guests headed over to The Black Swan at Omni Houston Hotel<\/a> for a nightcap. The bride says, “It was an amazing night and one we will remember forever.”<\/p>\n
