Savannah and Tyler’s witty banter on a dating app in 2019 kicked off with a quip about whether a Longhorn and a Sooner could ever make it work.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But their effortless rapport prevailed, leading to an impromptu long first date over drinks. Despite the odds of college rivals finding love, these two became inseparable and officially coupled up that August.<\/p>\n

When it came time to pop the question, Tyler picked his family’s treasured lake house as the picturesque proposal spot. Under the guise of “family photos,” Tyler surprised Savannah beside the lake, complete with his parents there to capture the joyful moment and celebrate over wine.<\/p>\n

On April 15, 2023, Savannah and Tyler wed at Houston’s historic Crystal Ballroom at the Rice<\/a>. The couple cherished their intimate first look and vow exchange on the balcony of the storied venue, overlooking downtown.<\/p>\n

Vibrant floral arrangements and decor by Plants N’ Petals<\/a> adorned the ceremony and reception, inspired by a Mediterranean jewelry box with colors of sea glass, aqua, turquoise, light pink and gold. Stunning hydrangea centerpieces adorned the ballroom tables, complementing blue and white printed linens. As the night wound down, guests showered the newlyweds with rose petals during their grand exit.<\/p>\n
