Sebastian and Christa had only been dating for a month before Hurricane Harvey struck Houston in 2017. After deciding to ride out the storm together, they realized they had something truly special.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Sebastian chose a romantic getaway in sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for the proposal. However, he faced flight delays before seeing his soon-to-be fianc\u00e9. Christa says, “Sebastian finally arrived in Puerto Vallarta around midnight, 5 hours delayed. As soon as he arrived, I met him in the lobby, we walked up to our room together, we hugged, and then he got down on one knee and proposed in the hotel room.”<\/p>\n

The Houston couple wed on March 25, 2022, at the historic Crystal Ballroom at the Rice<\/a> in vibrant downtown Houston. The storied venue, which hosted former Presidents and iconic Hollywood stars, was the ideal location for the couple’s traditional wedding. Lavender, blush and white hues decorated the 1913 historic ballroom, while lit lavender-scented candles and tall floral centerpieces dotted the reception tables. Bride says, “We wanted a venue that was timeless, classic and beautiful on its own, without needing a ton of decoration, and we felt like the historic Crystal Ballroom checked all those boxes.”<\/p>\n

Christa and Sebastian surprised guests with a choreographed two-step for the first dance. Christa, wearing a strapless lace gown by Pronovias from Belle Ame Bridal<\/a>, floated across the dance floor. After dining and dancing, guests enjoyed a decadent three-tier confetti cake by Cakes by Gina.<\/a><\/p>\n

When the celebration concluded, the couple exited with a streamer sendoff in lobby of The Rice Hotel.<\/p>\n
