Harry and Margaret met at The University of Texas in 2008 but did not start dating until seven years later when Margaret was attending dental school in Utah. After a four-year long-distance romance, Harry proposed to Margaret on a trip to Napa Valley, CA, where they enjoyed a weekend of wine tasting. \u201cIt was the perfect location; breathtaking, romantic and intimate,\u201d says Margaret. The tour guide who was in on the surprise encouraged the couple to walk the grounds where a table was set up with beautiful flowers and champagne and Harry popped the question.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On September 4, 2021, the couple pledged their love at the industrial-chic venue, The Astorian<\/a> with a white, gold and black wedding. Margaret walked down the aisle in a strapless Galia Lahav gown with an Ines De Santo veil and crystal-embellished Louboutin heels. Warm candlelight and extravagant floral installations, designed by Plants N’ Petals<\/a>, adorned the venue’s spacious loft-style ballroom.<\/p>\n

After the wedding ceremony, the couple paid homage to their culture and wore traditional red garments for an intimate tea ceremony for their families, a ritual to respect and honor the ancestors and elders in their families. Red symbolizing good luck, happiness and prosperity.<\/p>\n

The couple had prepared for the wedding with dance lessons. \u201cOur dance had many lifts, with the last lift being a very challenging one, and the one we were very nervous about doing! However, as we danced, our crowd of family and friends were so supportive, cheering us on throughout the whole dance. Just looking around the room and seeing everyone smiling, excited, and so immersed in our dance was so special. This gave us all the confidence and made the night extra memorable.\u201d says Margaret.<\/p>\n
