Before Matthew and Lauren had their blush and burgundy wedding, their love story began in the fall of 2016.<\/p>\n

On a Sunday morning in 2016, Matthew texted his college best friend, Ford, that he met the most beautiful girl. Ford instantly recognized Matthew’s love interest as his girlfriend’s sorority sister and quickly organized a get-together for the friends. Lauren and Matt talked for hours, discussing everything under the sun and quickly realizing how much they had in common. Lauren fell in love with Matthew’s honesty and ability to make her laugh, while Matthew loved Lauren’s zeal for life and ambition.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After the couple graduated from The University of Oklahoma, Matthew proposed to Lauren on a beach in Malibu, CA. Matthew was waiting for Lauren in a blue button-down, barefoot with the biggest smile on his face. As he proposed, dolphins playfully jumped in and out of the water; it was “picture perfect.”<\/p>\n

Matthew and Lauren said I do on a sunny day on April 17, 2021, at The Carriage House<\/a>, a rustic-chic venue in the historic small town of Montgomery, TX. The sweet wedding had a vibrant color palette of navy, burgundy and blush that paired nicely with the venue’s pops of red. After a light and bright ceremony in the venue’s charming chapel, the couple celebrated with a joy-filled reception in the 5,000 square foot reception space.<\/p>\n

One of the couple’s favorite moments of the evening was the last dance. “It was the perfect way to end the night and just take it all in by ourselves before we made our grand exit,” says Lauren. When the wedding day came to an end, the newlyweds jetted to Hawaii for a long-awaited honeymoon.<\/p>\n
