Ever wonder what Houston\u2019s finest wedding vendors are doing when they\u2019re not creating, you know, totally incredible weddings? Well, on July 21 , 300 of them were living it up at La Colombe d\u2019Or<\/a>\u2014site of the Weddings in Houston<\/em><\/a> August 2011 Issue Launch Party!<\/p>\n

The lively and visually stunning (of course) bash\u2014with fabulous country-French d\u00e9cor and luscious flowers from Rob Smith of Events in Bloom<\/a>\u2014brought out many of the city\u2019s most in-demand wedding vendors. Among them, Susie\u2019s Cakes & Confections<\/a> and Cake Creations<\/a>, whose dazzling and decadent cakes were so \u201cso beautiful, it was a sin to cut them!\u201d noted Weddings in Houston<\/em> publisher Radhika Day. As if these divine cakes weren\u2019t enough, the sweet gals from SWEET<\/a> gifted guests with to-die-for French macaroons (big with Houston brides for 2011-2012 weddings–if you haven’t yet, you’ve seriously got to try them).<\/p>\n

Of course, this being a Weddings in Houston<\/em> party, you better believe some amazing entertainment was on the menu. Guests couldn\u2019t get enough of the killer DJ and alluring \u201ctable girl,\u201d courtesy Jetspeed Entertainment<\/a>\u2014and they couldn\u2019t wait for a go at the photo booth<\/a> from JPL Entertainment<\/a>, who also showed off their unique hand-crafted albums and guest books, btw.<\/p>\n
