Even though Lauren lived in Houston and Patrick lived in Galveston, Patrick\u00a0drove an hour into the city to take her out on their first date! They chatted for hours over dinner, and needless to say\u2014they hit it off.<\/p>\n<p>Almost two years later, Patrick joined Lauren on her family vacation in New York City, but little did she know, he had a little something special planned for just the two of them! Lauren and Patrick went on a romantic NYC tour that started off with breakfast at Le Parker Meridien, followed by a tour of the Statue of Liberty. \u201cI started to count the cargo ships we saw since Patrick is in the shipping industry and it\u2019s something we\u2019ve done since we began dating,\u201d she says. \u201cAfter I finished counting, I turned around to tell Patrick that I love him.
