After spending their first date in a yoga class, Keri and Michael decided to take their next outing to get to know each other better while strolling through\u00a0Houston\u2019s Buffalo Bayou Park. A date well spent, and a gorgeous Houston sunset later, the fitness-and-outdoors lovers decided to meet again\u2026 the very next day. Little did they know that Houston\u2019s natural beauty would play into every major milestone they celebrated next.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Michael popped the question to Keri during an \u201call-day date\u201d that began near a garden complete with an arbor of\u00a0blooming red roses, where Keri\u00a0was shocked to find Michael down on one knee! \u00a0\u201cWe spent the rest of the day talking about how we arrived at this exciting day,\u201d Keri says. \u201cAnd the 12-hour \u2018date\u2019 concluded with a surprise dinner Michael had arranged for both of our families at one of his favorite restaurants\u2028!\u201d<\/p>\n

To nobody’s surprise, the couple\u2019s love of\u00a0the outdoors played right into their nuptials and reception, as well, with lush phalaenopsis orchids, calla lilies and white tulips by\u00a0Plants N’ Petals<\/a> accenting rustic barn tables. \u201cWe chose orchids as our\u00a0main flower for their meaning, and also for their simple elegance,\u201d Keri says.<\/p>\n

Keri donned a classic silk dress from \u00a0Joan Pillow Bridal Salon<\/a> on the big day, complete with a chic oversized bow. The couple sealed the deal with stunning rings from\u00a0Zadok Jewelers<\/a> and invited their intimate group of 120 guests to celebrate with invitations and stationery from\u00a0Bering’s<\/a>. They began their new life together as a married couple with registry items from\u00a0Kuhl-Linscomb<\/a>.\u00a0We\u2019re so in love with this dreamy day.<\/p>\n
