Blush, Ivory and Gold Wedding at the Bell Tower on 34th Street

Houston bride Meagan instantly fell in love with the grand Italian-villa-inspired architecture of The Bell Tower on 34^th Street, which perfectly complemented her soft, romantic color palette of blush, ivory and gold. “I loved the beautiful carved-wood chapel doors, and had a vision of a grand entrance,” she says. “My fondest moment was when the bell tower rang, the doors opened and we locked eyes as I walked down the aisle.” Meagan wore a gorrrgeous drop-waist, lace bridal gown from Brickhouse Bridal with glittery gold Jimmy Choo pumps, of course. Though they’d always known they’d wed, Kerry and Kris, who were introduced by a mutual friend in 2002, were simply waiting for the timing to be right, “which, for us, just happened to be about 10 years,” the bride says. Kris proposed to his beloved on bended knee at the top of a Colorado ski slope while fellow skiers applauded. “It was magical and I could not have imagined it being any better,” Kerry says. A little over a year later, the pair celebrated with 150 friends and family members, who sat at tables named for the groom’s favorite James Bond movies, and dined on filet mignon and shrimp, followed by slices from a magnificent four-tier wedding cake. The bride’s favorite moment? “Our first dance after we were introduced as husband and wife,” she recounts. “We danced to Aerosmith’s ‘Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.’”

When Allison entered their room at Hotel Granduca on the eve of Cinco de Mayo and found hundreds of rose petals and candles everywhere, she actually wondered if she was in the wrong room. But when Ty took her by the hand and got down on one knee, she knew she was in exactly the right place. One year later, the pair celebrated their nuptials with a timeless reception at Hotel ZaZa, done up in classic shades of black, white and soft blush pink by Events in Bloom. Lovely in her Vera Wang gown, with hair and makeup by The Perfect Face, Allison danced the night away with her handsome groom—and 250 of their nearest and dearest—in a one-for-the-ages Houston wedding that has captured our hearts. Intimate Petroleum Club Wedding by Steve Lee Weddings

While “iPhone meets Frank Sinatra” might not seem like your typical wedding theme, Amy and Robbie’s Houston nuptial celebration was anything but your typical wedding. The couple, who met at work and got engaged in the moments after the groom disembarked from a plane after traveling 30-plus hours, wanted their spring wedding to have “modern, clean lines” and a “jazzy, cool feel,” Amy says. Hinging on a palette of deep purple, silver, white and black, they infused the vintage-elegant Petroleum Club of Houston with a sleek, clubby feel—the perfect environment in which to enjoy excellent food and dancing with an intimate group of fewer than 90 close friends and family members. And the bride’s Martina Liana gown (accented with the silver ribbon sash) and purple-calla bouquet? Perfection.
