It all started in 2010 when Kaitlyn and Nathan first met after the OU vs. Florida State football game. They immediately hit it off, started messaging each other on Facebook, went on their first date a week later and the rest is history. Four years later, Kaitlyn wed Nathan in a classic Monique Lhuillier gown holding a gorgeous peony and rose bouquet accented with her grandmother’s prayer book. The reception was exactly how she pictured it: simplicity with a hit of romantic elegance, thanks to AJ’s Urban Petals expertise. “It rained all day, but it made the atmosphere more romantic”, said Kaitlyn. Oh, how we love a well-planned proposal. Take, for example, Tyler’s to Shannon: After a sunny day of boating together on Austin’s Lake Travis, the groom-to-be feigned a “late” dinner reservation and led his beloved to Windy Point Park, where, after telling Shannon how much he loved her, he spun her around to face the words, “Will You Marry Me?” spelled in rose petals in the sand. He then proceeded to place a ring that he had custom designed for his one-and-only on her shaking-with-excitement hand. The couple’s Crystal Ballroom at The Rice wedding, with its sophisticated palette of blush, navy and gold, and its romantic candlelit glow, wasn’t just elegant—it was also a whole lot of fun: “Everyone enjoyed letting loose and dancing the night away,” Shannon says. “The dance floor was never empty. It was a night of a lifetime!”

A perfect Valentine’s date—Galveston harbor tour, lovely lunch, Moody Gardens stroll—turned into an evening Rachel will never forget, when Jonathan surprised her with a candlelit marriage proposal at his Houston home. Six months later, the pair said their vows before 200 friends and family members at the same church where they’d first met at a singles’ bible-study class. A vintage Rolls-Royce—arranged by the bride’s father as a surprise for the newlyweds—conveyed the couple to their country-club reception, where they dined and danced the night away. “It was truly everything I could ever have dreamed of and more,” Rachel says. “Our wedding day and love story came right out of a fairytale.”
