Gold, Hot Pink & Black Wedding at Chateau Cocomar

Sometimes reconnecting with your high school boyfriend is a good thing—just ask Houston bride Codi. After graduating college and moving back home, Codi and Austin fell in love all over again and decided this time it was for forever. Codi brought a new meaning to true Houston glam when she wed Austin in a feather-accented Stephen Yearick gown from Brickhouse Bridal. Her vision of a glamorous, fairytale wedding came to life at Chateau Cocomar. “Instead of using the typical blush and white color palette, I added hot pink and black for a more unique look,” she says. Black sequin linens and mercury glass candle holders were just a couple of details that added a romantic yet glamorous look to the decor. We couldn’t help but swoon, and know you will, too, after seeing the lovely photos. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!

Lacey and Tyler spent their entire childhood not knowing that they lived a half mile away from each other until their paths crossed in college. All it took was a day of floating the Guadalupe River with friends for Lacey and Tyler to meet and the rest was history. Four years later Tyler decided to put a ring on it at St. Paul’s Methodist Church where she had always dreamed of, “I had always envisioned getting married there since I was a little girl and he knew how much I loved that building,” Lacey says. Lacey wed Tyler in a classic Reem Acra gown in front of 270 of their nearest and dearest. “I always say that marrying Tyler was the most natural thing I have ever done,” adds Lacey. If you think their love story is sweet, just wait ‘til you see the pics by D. Jones Photography. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!

From high school acquaintances to college sweethearts, Jessica and Lukas hit it off at a fateful New Year’s Eve party, where the pair spent the whole evening talking beside a crackling campfire. Four years later, the two lovebirds graduated together from Texas A&M–and not long after, Lukas surprised Jessica by popping the question: “He decided to take me to the restaurant we went on our first big date,” recalls the bride. “I somehow was completely clueless to what was really happening.” Once they finished eating, Lukas got down on one knee and asked Jessica to be his wife… “Obviously, I said yes!” Afterwards, the couple met up with family and friends at the fabulous Hotel ZaZa to celebrate their newly-engaged status. According to Jessica, “the whole night was absolutely perfect.” Fast-forward to the pair’s summer wedding at The Parador, complete with an emotional ceremony (“we were both bawling”) and a romantic reception with an “eclectic feel” that was achieved with lots of candles, mercury glass and blush flower arrangements. Check out their GORGEOUS photos from Christa Elyce Photography below!

Blush, Ivory & Gold Wedding

Kristen and Clayton were first introduced through mutual friends while attending a concert in Downtown Houston. He was determined to meet Kristen again, but the next day Clayton had plans to visit Austin for the weekend. “During the drive, he was contemplating whether or not to turn around and go back to Houston so that he could meet me. Clayton made it to Highway 71 and decided to call our mutual friend, who promised him the chance to see me again if he turned around. Clayton did exactly that. He asked me out on a date and we have been inseparable since,” says Kristen. Two and a half years later Clayton got down on one knee and asked Kristen to marry him in front of the Waterwall. The pair planned a simple, yet elegant springtime affair with the help of Plants N’ Petals and EB Inc Event Rentals & Design for 250 of their nearest and dearest. “Although it rained on our wedding day, I couldn’t believe how perfect it was! There was never a dull moment on the dance floor,” adds Kristen. Congrats to the newlyweds, we wish you the best!

Navy, Ivory, Gold & Coral Wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston by Steve Lee Photography

Casey and Bill’s love story started while they were both in high school living as expats in Trinidad. They decided to part ways after being accepted to different colleges but later re-kindled their relationship during their last semester of college. A few years later, back in the U.S., Bill planned a sweet trip to Galveston with Casey for her birthday. “Bill planned to propose in Galveston, but after holding on to the ring for a two hours waiting for me to arrive at his house, he decided he couldn’t wait much longer,” Casey recounts. “We were sitting at his kitchen table where I was finishing up a work call. As soon as I hung up I jumped up and apologized for our delay and told him I was ready to go. He stood up to deliver the proposal speech he had prepared, but couldn’t get a word out. He dropped down on one knee and went straight to the question. I have never been more surprised in my life!” Casey says. The lovebirds planned their picture-perfect summer wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston where Casey wed Bill in a gorgeous Anne Barge gown from Ivory Bridal Atelier. The couple’s favorite moment? “We danced to Soca music with several guests who were expats in Trinidad with us. We got to relive the culture we grew up in and show our American friends and family,” says Casey. We’ll let the beautiful photos by Steve Lee do the rest of the talking for us. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!
