This is IT, darlings…the I Do! Wedding Soiree is just TWO days away, and we are putting the final touches on all the finery and fabulousness you can expect to encounter at our signature luxury wedding event, this Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6-9 p.m!

Join us for an evening of couture, cocktails and wedding-planning magic, unlike anything you’ve experienced, when we open the doors to I Do! at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. From your first signature Blushing Bride cocktail, to the moment you depart with your $$$ gift bag of hand-picked products (and possibly one of our incredible door prizes!), you’ll be wined & dined, inspired and treated like the VIP you were always meant to be!

While you’re at I Do!, make sure to pose for a pic in front of our amazing backdrop from Balushka Paper Floral Artistry, enjoy gourmet eats from Jackson and Company Catering and Café Natalie Catering, and indulge in mini treatments and demos from our fantastic beauty pros. And, of course, you’re invited to dance to the music of Scott Graham Piano and DJ LG Entertainment, and chat one-on-one with Houston’s top wedding vendors, in jewelry, cakes, flowers, attire, planning, invitations, photography, videography, honeymoon and destination travel…and more!

Here’s what to know before you GO to I Do!:

DO bring your besties, your spouse-to-be, your family members and valued opinion-givers—the I Do! Wedding Soiree is no mere wedding show, it’s an evening of fun, food, drink and beautiful displays everywhere you look!

DO bring your mobile device, and be prepared to Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat…and take part in our special on-site social media contests!

DO come dressed to impress—the I Do! Soiree is a luxury cocktail event, and business-stylish attire is part of the fun! Please, no shorts, tank tops or flip-flops.

DO stay for the full event—winners of our exclusive pre-show giveaways and on-site door prizes will be announced at the end of the show, and you must be present to claim your prize when it is announced.

Please DO NOT bring strollers, infants, or anyone under the age of 16. The I Do! Wedding Soiree is an adult event, featuring delicate displays (and LOTS of them). We love little ones…but this is not an appropriate environment for them.

Gold & Black Wedding at Hotel ZaZa by Civic Photos

Sharon and Manuel’s fate was sealed when they were attending a salsa dancing event one night in March of 2012. Manuel’s best friend instantly saw how perfect the two would be together, so he introduced them. A few years later, Manuel knew he was more than ready to make Sharon his wife and had a surprise proposal planned. One January evening, the couple made a trip to Hermann Park in Houston’s Museum District. Manuel led Sharon over to a romantic little gazebo and asked Sharon to be his, forever. He even hired a photographer to capture the moment from a hidden location (bonus points!) But Manuel’s plans didn’t stop there. He had dinner arrangements for them to get to…where their families were waiting to celebrate! Seriously, could this engagement get any sweeter? The two said vows and celebrated their love story with a ceremony and reception at Houston’s ultra-chic Hotel ZaZa. Their gold and black color palette was a perfectly stunning complement to the hotel’s deeply romantic tones. The couple remembers having the most divine wedding cakes, courtesy of Who Made The Cake, for their celebration: “The main cake was made with Italian cream with vanilla ice cream in one tier and raspberry cake with raspberry filling in another”—and to add to that decadence—“The [Star Wars theme] groom’s cake was chocolate on chocolate.” Yum. Sharon recounts: “One of my favorite moments was when my husband surprised me with a song, playing the conga with the band. It was amazing!” We wish the newlyweds a life filled with love and even more wonderful memories. Thank you, Civic Photos, for capturing the beauty, joy and exhilaration of Manuel and Sharon’s celebration!
