Kristen and Clayton were first introduced through mutual friends while attending a concert in Downtown Houston. He was determined to meet Kristen again, but the next day Clayton had plans to visit Austin for the weekend. “During the drive, he was contemplating whether or not to turn around and go back to Houston so that he could meet me. Clayton made it to Highway 71 and decided to call our mutual friend, who promised him the chance to see me again if he turned around. Clayton did exactly that. He asked me out on a date and we have been inseparable since,” says Kristen. Two and a half years later Clayton got down on one knee and asked Kristen to marry him in front of the Waterwall. The pair planned a simple, yet elegant springtime affair with the help of Plants N’ Petals and EB Inc Event Rentals & Design for 250 of their nearest and dearest. “Although it rained on our wedding day, I couldn’t believe how perfect it was! There was never a dull moment on the dance floor,” adds Kristen. Congrats to the newlyweds, we wish you the best!

It’s true, everything is bigger in Texas- especially weddings. Just ask Houston bride Bella and her hubby about their 1,400-guest reception. The couple had a true Texas spring wedding with blooming orchids, an outdoor reception, and a 16-layer cake! Guests enjoyed the perfect weather and some good ‘ol Southern food: roasted beef, pico, beans and freshly squeezed Lemonade (mmm). Oh and did we mention how stunning Bella looked in her full-sleeve, chic lace bridal gown from Parvani Vida? “It was Christmas Eve 2013. Tristan said he had a gift ornament for me hanging on the tree. On the front it read, “Our first Christmas together,” and on the back was a bride and groom. I turned around and he was on one knee asking to spend the rest of our Christmases together,” says Autumn. So sweet, right? A year later, Autumn wed Tristan in a lace Pronovias gown from Parvani Vida Bridal & Formal and celebrated with 165 of their nearest and dearest at the Omni Houston Hotel. Favorite moment? “Dancing with all of our family and friends,” Autumn says. Congrats and best wishes to the newlyweds!

Blush, White & Silver Wedding at Waterpoint Premier Lakeside Venue

Newly graduated from college and just starting their careers, Kellie says figuring out how to budget and plan her dream wedding to Jacob was no small challenge, but one she embraced fully. The couple’s church ceremony and fresh, fun, family-focused celebration at picturesque Waterpoint on Lake Conroe reflected their backgrounds, with table numbers corresponding to ages of their childhoods (table 5, for instance, displayed photos of Kellie and Jacob at age 5). The bride’s accessories included a bracelet made by Jacob’s grandmother and a pair of white flats decorated by her aunt with bits of lace from her Oleg Cassini bridal gown. The venue’s lovely lakefront vista made decor needs minimal (HEB Blooms supplied softly tousled flowers in shades of pink, blush and cream), and a candy buffet made the festivities just that much sweeter.

Blush, Orange, Silver & Gold Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Houston by DC Stanley Photography

Jane met Andrew during his first week of training in her department at Four Seasons Dallas. Little did she know that after being transferred to Four Seasons Whistler they would still keep in touch. A year later after traveling back and forth to visit their mutual friends, they had their first date and the rest was history. Jane and Andrew decided that it was only appropriate, as former Four Seasons employees, to celebrate their wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Houston. “We wanted a simple yet polished design. We decorated the ballroom with soft pink, silver, gold and pops of orange to blend in with the chandeliers,” says Jane. After the reception, guests met at the pool to continue celebrating with drinks, late-night snacks, adult snow cones and a DJ from LG Entertainment that kept everyone dancing until 2 a.m. Sounds like quite the party, huh?
