Romantic Wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th

“I work very long and exhausting days as a registered nurse. I told Casey that sometimes when I have a bad day, I just want to come home from work and for him to propose to make it all better. Casey did just that. I came home from work one day to rose petals and candles scattered throughout our house. He made my favorite meal: steak, Fleming’s style mac and cheese, asparagus and salad. The ring box was sitting in a container of my favorite popcorn that Casey ordered specially for me from Chicago. It was the most perfect evening,” recounts bride Tara. And so was their wedding at the Bell Tower on 34^th. Tara and Casey described their wedding to be romantic, personal and fun for everyone to enjoy. The pair danced the night away with 240 of their nearest and dearest. The grandeur evening ended with late night bites from Whataburger (mmm…) for guests and a flutter fetti exit for the couple. You know the feels you get when you meet someone for the first time but it feels like you’ve known them forever? That’s the one. Just ask Houston bride Shell who immediately hit it off with Michael the minute they met. A year later Michael got down on one knee at the top of the hill at Gardner State Park and you can guess the rest. Incorporating Persian culture in the wedding ceremony was very important to Houston bride Ametis. “Plants N’ Petals took my ideas and created a fairytale that came to life. My vision was to create a romantic feel with a neutral color palette of white, gold and blush throughout the ceremony and reception. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined,” she says. Favorite moments? “Chris and I wanted to be surrounded by our family and close friends to celebrate our special day. We loved being able to spend time with those who traveled from long distances for such a joyous occasion,” she adds. Thanks D. From high school acquaintances to college sweethearts, Jessica and Lukas hit it off at a fateful New Year’s Eve party, where the pair spent the whole evening talking beside a crackling campfire. Four years later, the two lovebirds graduated together from Texas A&M–and not long after, Lukas surprised Jessica by popping the question: “He decided to take me to the restaurant we went on our first big date,” recalls the bride. “I somehow was completely clueless to what was really happening.” Once they finished eating, Lukas got down on one knee and asked Jessica to be his wife… “Obviously, I said yes!” Afterwards, the couple met up with family and friends at the fabulous Hotel ZaZa to celebrate their newly-engaged status. According to Jessica, “the whole night was absolutely perfect.” Fast-forward to the pair’s summer wedding at The Parador, complete with an emotional ceremony (“we were both bawling”) and a romantic reception with an “eclectic feel” that was achieved with lots of candles, mercury glass and blush flower arrangements. It all started in 2010 when Kaitlyn and Nathan first met after the OU vs. Florida State football game. They immediately hit it off, started messaging each other on Facebook, went on their first date a week later and the rest is history. Four years later, Kaitlyn wed Nathan in a classic Monique Lhuillier gown holding a gorgeous peony and rose bouquet accented with her grandmother’s prayer book. The reception was exactly how she pictured it: simplicity with a hit of romantic elegance, thanks to AJ’s Urban Petals expertise. “It rained all day, but it made the atmosphere more romantic”, said Kaitlyn.
