Ashton Gardens is actually two nearly identical venues (one in North Houston, one in West Houston).

Both offer a blend of forested splendor and romantic ballroom chic that’s a perfect fit for couples who want the feel of an outdoor wedding venue, but without the unpredictability of Mother Nature. Say, “I do,” in front of a backdrop of soaring windows looking out on lush trees, in Ashton Gardens’ lovely on-site chapel, with its country-church feel, and state-of-the-art technology. White & Sage Green Spring Wedding

Joanna met Shane at their freshman college orientation, quickly sparking a friendship during tutoring sessions for chemistry class (wink, wink). However, they didn’t have their first date until junior year, on Valentine’s Day. “I suppose when you wait that long for a date, you have to go BIG or go home!” the bride says. Just one week after graduating, Shane popped the question while on a hiking trip with Joanna. A custom engagement ring made for a truly unforgettable graduation gift. The ceremony took place at Ashton Gardens in the soft glow of the glass-enclosed chapel. There, the pair exchanged personal written vows in front of 155 guests. The celebration continued in Ashton Gardens’ timeless ballroom, with a feast featuring giant coconut shrimp and, ’cause this here is Texas, y’all, succulent steak. Joanna and Shane ended the night amidst a throng of bubbles for a magical exit. Best wishes to you guys as you start a new adventure together!

Ashton Gardens Wedding With Bonus Fun Proposal Story!

Mosquitos. Guacamole. A clever ruse. Oh, how we love a zany proposal story: “I told Shane I wanted to wait until I officially had a degree to be engaged,” says Joanna. “He waited exactly a week after I graduated. We had talked about going on a hike, and finally planned it for that weekend. While on our hike there there were so many mosquitos it looked like a dark fog was following us. We ran out of the woods with about 30 bites each laughing so hard (with me not realizing his proposal plan was falling apart). We found an area that was mosquito-free, sat down for a picnic, and then Shane told me he had something for me. I got extremely suspicious that he was proposing. I thought to myself, ‘Shane can’t propose with a tub of guacamole (my favorite) sitting in between us.’ Click here to read the rest of this post »

With floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning forest scenery as your ceremony backdrop, every single guest can enjoy an outside view from the comfort of indoors.”
