We Found THE Best Hair Mist to Beat the Houston Frizzies!

We Found THE Best Hair Mist to Beat the Houston Frizzies!

Photo: RICH Hair Care

Sooo in love with RICH Pure Luxury Argan De-Frizz Shine & Mist, we just had to share! This lightweight mist has been infused with argania spinosa kernel oil to create smoothness and radiance on even the most humid Houston day, plus a luxurious blend of sweet almond oil to condition hair, olive oil to add shine, and linseed oil to strengthen dry, tired hair all winter long. It’s a lifesaver on your wedding day, but equally perfect for everyday use. Oh–and did we mention it offers UV and heat protection for all that heat styling you’re bound to subject your hair to during the upcoming holiday season, and is totally free of parabens, sulfates and other yuckies that you don’t need? Get RICH quick, baby.

Tiny Pies Make Perfect Wedding Desserts

Photos: Tiny Pies

Amanda and her mom Kit have been baking together forever. And together they are the talents behind Tiny Pies, based in Austin. Their tiny pies are made from treasured family recipes with the highest quality natural ingredients, sourced from local farms whenever possible. They come in sweet (flavors like bourbon-buttermilk, cherry, pear-ginger, coconut cream and more) and savory (spinach-ricotta, potato-leek, etc.), they are made to be eaten without utensils, and they taste amazing hot or cold. We served ’em up in our I Do! Bridal Soiree swag bags. You can serve ’em up on your dessert display table, as take-home favors, at your bridal shower, as part of your hotel-room amenity basket for visiting guests, or whenever you want a satisfying, wholesome, tastebud-tickling mouthful o’ yumminess, handcrafted right here in the great state of Texas. Order online or pop into Revival Market in the Heights, or Central Market on Westheimer, for a (tiny) taste of heaven.

Glamour, Glimmer and Shades at Charcoal Gray & Pale Pink Wedding at Dukessa

Phillip and Krisella first met in Austin at a mutual friend’s baby shower. “He was late and the first thing out of my mouth after we were properly introduced was, ‘Hi. You’re late (with my big signature smile).’ It worked because we never stopped seeing each other from that day forward!” After a year of being inseparable, Phillip and Krisella decided to tie the knot. Krisella wore a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown from Weddings by Debbie with stunning stacked diamond bracelets and teardrop diamond earrings to complete her Old Hollywood glam look. The room was filled with romantic low lights, and rose, anemone and hydrangea flower arrangements. We could go on and on about how beautiful this Houston wedding was at Dukessa, but we want YOU to fall in love with the photos as much as we did. Congrats and best wishes to the lovely couple!

Wedding Boots Are Cute…But They’re Cuter with Darby’s!

We’ve been going gaga for Darby’s boot socks ever since this awesome legwear made its way into our I Do! Bridal Soiree swag bags. Why, you ask? These combo girly-knee-highs-and-performance-ankle-socks-in-one are pretty much the perfect accessory for you Southern brides and bridesmaids who plan to rock cowboy boots with your wedding-day wear! Darby’s, available from Bootights, combine an opaque knee-high that feels smooth and stays put, with an attached boot sock that is cushioned and comfy enough for dancing ’til dawn. And with colors including pink, blue, cream, stone, oodles of patterns, lace tops and more, these babies beg to be seen. Give ’em to your b’maids as wedding-day gifts, hand them out as shower favors…and keep a pair for yourself, darlin.’ There are plenty to go around!
