White & Sage Green Spring Wedding

Joanna met Shane at their freshman college orientation, quickly sparking a friendship during tutoring sessions for chemistry class (wink, wink). However, they didn’t have their first date until junior year, on Valentine’s Day. “I suppose when you wait that long for a date, you have to go BIG or go home!” the bride says. Just one week after graduating, Shane popped the question while on a hiking trip with Joanna. A custom engagement ring made for a truly unforgettable graduation gift. The ceremony took place at Ashton Gardens in the soft glow of the glass-enclosed chapel. There, the pair exchanged personal written vows in front of 155 guests. The celebration continued in Ashton Gardens’ timeless ballroom, with a feast featuring giant coconut shrimp and, ’cause this here is Texas, y’all, succulent steak. Joanna and Shane ended the night amidst a throng of bubbles for a magical exit. Best wishes to you guys as you start a new adventure together!

Wyoming Destination Wedding by Civic Photos

An online dating success story, Marka and Adam first met through OkCupid. Although their first in-person date over coffee seemed rather low-key, sparks flew as the couple commenced talking for hours. And just like that, the connection of a lifetime was made. The couple decided to keep things simple for their nuptials, celebrating with 28 of their closest family and friends in Moran, Wy. Against the awe-inspiring view of the Teton Range, Marka and Adam exchanged their vows. “It stopped raining right as our ceremony began,” notes the bride. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to an intimate wild-game feast including buffalo filet mignon, elk and trout. “My favorite moment was getting our closest friends and family into the middle of nowhere to enjoy the beautiful surroundings…with lots of alcohol,” laughs Marka. Feast your eyes on this lovely couple’s festivities, captured in images by fine Houston wedding photography studio Civic Photos!

Gray, Cream & Merlot Spring Wedding at The Bryan Museum

Who says work romances do not end well? Christina and James prove just the opposite. The pair met at work, when James was tasked with training his future-bride-to-be for his old position following a promotion. This turned out to be a life-changing encounter. After a whirlwind two-month romance, James proposed, knowing he had found the one. As avid fans of the Houston Astros, James surprised Christina with a custom Heidi Gibson ring at Minute Maid Park during the Astros’ Holiday at the Park event. With 45 guests, the pair held an intimate outdoor ceremony under the gazebo at The Bryan Museum in Galveston. “We wanted a minimalist look, showcasing the commitment we wanted to make to each other,” the bride says. The celebration continued their celebration amidst the quaint elegance of the museum’s glass-enclosed conservatory. Christina and James show just how unexpected true love can be. Best wishes to this adorable couple!
