First Things First: Why You Should Hire A Wedding Planner
Hiring a wedding planner is essential for your sanity when beginning your wedding planning journey. Why? It saves you countless hours of worry and unnecessary stress, allowing you to enjoy your wedding day and focus on what’s most important… the moments between you and your partner.
Brenda and Rami’s love story began with a chance encounter in a Dallas restaurant. Instantly drawn to each other, they spent hours engrossed in conversation during Brenda’s weekend visit to the city. The spark between them only grew stronger as they continued to see each other, ultimately leading to a committed long-distance relationship.
Aerospace engineers Jasmine and Corey first met while working at United Space Alliance, a NASA contractor. “Jasmine had joined some friends of mine on one of their infamous ‘ergonomic break’ walks and they stopped by my office cube on the way outside,” recalls Corey. “We started talking to one another and never really stopped hanging out since that moment 11 years ago.”
Following a romantic proposal in Fredricksburg, the couple tied the knot in a colorful wedding at waterfront venue Waters Edge, flawlessly planned and styled by Claudia De Velasco of A Day To Remember. Jasmine and Corey pledged their love in an “informal outdoor ceremony” beneath a chiffon draped canopy adorned with white, red and orange flowers by premier Houston florists Dream Bouquet. Afterward, the newlyweds joined 168 of their closest friends and family members for a festive ballroom reception filled with drinks, dancing, yard games, music, and a photo booth from LG Event Entertainment & Production. For the reception decor, the couple kept things “casual and colorful” featuring lush vibrant flowers and chic lounge furniture, with a vivid wedding palette of pink, orange, and red with iceberg blue accents. Favorite moments for the bride and groom included, “The ceremony, the first dance, and partying with family and friends!”
We are so thrilled to feature this lovely couple and their beautiful waterfront wedding. Congratulations, Jasmine & Corey!
When we asked bride Eryn to tell us her favorite piece of clothing in her wardrobe, she didn’t hesitate: “My Victorian-style button boots! I do historical costuming as a hobby, and you have to have the right shoes.” So it’s no surprise that for her wedding to Patrick, the couple leaned toward Victorian wedding styling, especially in their attire. What was surprising was that Eryn designed her wedding dress herself, and made it by hand. “At first, my mom was apprehensive about my intention to make my own dress,” she admits. “We had a few emotional conversations about it at the start of things–she was worried about my stress level and the time it would take. She never doubted me though, and supported me through the whole process. She was right about the time and the stress, but it was so worth it!” Groom Patrick looked properly dapper at her side, wearing his tailcoat and top hat, and a smile as big as Texas! She loves his leather jacket, and that he’s always up for an adventure. He loves her bubbly personality, and having breakfast with her on Saturdays at Barnaby’s. And they both love a good party. It was in this spirit that Leslie and Danny gathered 185 friends and family members at Houston venue The Astorian to celebrate their union, a culmination of the love story that began when the two first met working as engineers in 2012. With the expert planning and design assistance of acclaimed Houston wedding firm Events De Luxe, the couple created a winter wedding that beautifully reflected their likes, and their love: “Our wedding was absolutely perfect for us,” the bride says.
