Vewiser, who met Tiesha while the two were attending Lamar University, used a trip to Disney World to set the backdrop for his creative proposal. On New Year’s Day, after a visit to the Florida theme park, Vewiser presented his beloved with a photo album filled with pics from their trip…with one very special addition on the last page: a photo of an engagement ring. “He immediately got down on one knee and expressed his love for me, and how our love has grown over the years,” notes the bride. The pair sealed the deal in front of 240 friends and family with a gorgeous boho chic wedding designed and decorated by Plants N’ Petals. The Houston floral firm brought Tiesha’s vision of vivid hues and flower crowns to life. “I wanted to use bright colors for the flower arrangements and not the typical ‘wedding colors,'” the bride says. “We both agreed bright colors matched our relationship and vivid personalities so we wanted to incorporate that in our wedding.” In addition to the fabulous decor, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed delicious offerings from Houston’s Café Natalie Catering which included chicken parmesan, salmon, roasted vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. After a night of dancing and fun, the festivities ended off with an incredible fireworks display. “Our wedding was everything we wanted and more, truly a blessing from God and a dream come true!”

When you make your way down the aisle, your attire doesn’t have to be limited to the traditional white dress. In fact, white wedding gowns did not become the norm for brides until Queen Victoria chose to wear white for her marriage to Prince Albert. If you want to add some color to your bridal look, check out these hot looks from top designers and visit a local salon to get the look!
Congratulations, newlywed! You’ve just celebrated a major life milestone and are beginning your journey into marital bliss with your beloved. Your wedding may be over, but there are still a few loose ends to tie, such as caring for your wedding dress. Whether you decide to sell, donate or keep your dress, preservation should be done ASAP to keep it in pristine condition. Without preservation, you run the risk of yellowing fabric, mold or mildew, and permanent fabric creasing. This also rings true for your veil or sash. Here’s what you need to know when it comes to preserving your dress.
